SWAN Hill's artistic future is looking brighter, following the unveiling of expansion plans for Swan Hill Regional Gallery.
As part of the Riverfront Masterplan redevelopment, the gallery is expected to benefit from the addition of new workshop rooms, which are expected to allow greater frequency of classes and improved student capacity.
Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery director Ian Tully said he was thrilled the money would go towards increasing the venue's limited space.
"As a result of the region not having art related TAFE courses, this will be a great opportunity for us to fill in the gap," he said.
"We will hope to have a designated room that will allow us to increase the number of workshops, catering for all ages and a variety of art techniques.
