THE final club competition day on Wednesday last week saw a good attendance of players having their last fix before the lockdown restrictions came into force.
The ladies played stableford and Sheena Gadsden (28) struck her true form after a horror run of outs scoring 35 points.
However, she had to withstand a three-way tie with Janet Brauer (15) and Debbie Farley (29) to claim the winner's trophy.
Edna Milne (37) was not too far behind with 31 points.
Sheena also collected the Burtons Store Nyah sponsored 15th hole NTP.
On the men's side, a very close tussle saw Gary Farley collect the chocolates scoring 101/20/81 from Rob Forster 87/5/82 and John Manser 91/8/83.
The course remains open for the public to exercise on under current restrictions, however you must only play in pairs with one person per cart.
Players must wear a mask and observe all of the health and distancing protocols.
The clubhouse remains closed.
At the end of the current lockdown, the club will review any future use of the course and whether the club can extend their season, dependent on course conditions.
The course is located at 202 Yarraby Road, Nyah West.

Sunday August 9 - Mixed Single Stableford
ON Sunday, more than 20 players came out to enjoy the fine weather.
Overall winner of the day was local junior Lucas Free (44) with what appears to be some sort of record breaking 48 Stableford points.
An outstanding score, well played Lucas, you can look forward to a new golf handicap and the local golf community can look forward to the name Free continuing to dominate the honour boards.
Runner up Bev West (36) with 41 points was no slouch but no match for the winner on the day, all the same well played Bev.
NTPs were 2nd Mick Kiley and 5th Mag Kiley.
Thirty-eight points or better were needed for the ball run down.
Saturday August 8 - Mixed Single Stableford
Saturday's Winner was Andrew Cameron (19) who found it easy going with his 38 points and had a good day with the driver to set it all up.
Runners up Mick and Mag Kiley needed one more point to challenge the long hitting Cameron but alas the pair could only manage a fair and solid 37 points each.
NTPs were 2nd Brenton Hogan and 11th David Bourne.
Thirty-six points or better were needed for the ball run down.
Wednesday August 5 - Mixed Single Stableford
Wednesday's winner Marg Crilly (36) enjoyed a purple patch on the back nine to fly home with 35 points holding out the ever green Mem Davis (10) with her 33-point effort.
