SWAN Hill Lady Flyers' fought back in vain after losing 87-81 to Maryborough Blazers during their first away trip on Sunday.

Playing-coach Tess Denham said a win was always a hard task travelling with only seven players and facing a tall-timbered Blazers line-up.
