KERANG resident Michael Coldham says he would focus on rural jobs if elected the Member for Mallee.
The Country Alliance candidate entered his nomination earlier this week and is the tenth and final candidate for the electorate.
He said his experience in business had showed him that attracting residents and growing the regional economy was paramount.
"Creating jobs and bringing families into towns has a huge difference to the way communities survive," Mr Coldham said.
"On the side of economic development in terms of infrastructure for tourism in Swan Hill, we know how much recreation is important for jobs — the amount of people who travel to fish and waterski is just staggering and the dollars they bring are important."
