SWAN Hill police have warned drivers they will be out in force to reduce road trauma in what is historically a danger period in the Mallee.

Drugs and alcohol will be a focus for police across the Easter long weekend as they mount a statewide operation on the roads.

The force’s "anywhere, anytime" enforcement approach will continue over the high-risk period.
