SWAN Hill's newest playground has opened in time for the school holidays and rush of summer visitors to the region.

Located at Riverside Park, the adventure playground swung its gates open for children and families last Tuesday.

The $850,000 project was funded by Regional Development Victoria, the Federal Building Better Regions Fund and Swan Hill Rural City Council (SHRCC).
