Mayor turns down $25,000

NEWLY elected Swan Hill mayor Les McPhee will take home $25,000 less than he’s entitled to after mayoral allowances were increased by the Victorian Independent Remuneration Tribunal.

Cr McPhee was elected unopposed as mayor and Cr Stuart King elected unopposed as deputy mayor at Tuesday’s council meeting.
