CRIME in the Swan Hill region has risen by 88 offences in the past 12 months, with Acting Inspector Brad Bennett telling The Guardian "enforcement is working".
According to the latest data from the Crime Statistics Agency, the region has seen an overall rise in crime of 3.5 per cent in the year ending June 2019.
Crimes against the person dropped by 8.9 per cent over the 12 months, while drug offences and burglary each spiked by 20 per cent.
