HAVING read the article 'less satisfied' (The Guardian, September 2), which revealed some results from the 2019 community satisfaction survey of the Swan Hill Rural City Council, I'd like to offer as a one issue and first-time participant in council affairs, an insight into why I think the council rates so poorly in Robinvale. Residents (57 contacted for survey), gave scores for our council of 29 for overall performance, 35 for consultation and engagement and 30 for community decision making, all down on the 2018 result. Very difficult to ignore, disappointing and down-right pathetic.
My issue with our council was (and still is) the proposed sale of 71-77 Bromley Road, Robinvale. I have no vested interest in this land; I am merely convinced its destiny should be anything other than community-based.
