Lawn mower theft

POLICE are investigating the alleged theft of a lawn mower and tools from a Lake Boga property.

Police said the items went missing from the Willakool Drive address on September 1.

String of shop thefts

A MAN has been caught allegedly putting a tool set down the front of his pants without paying.

A police spokesperson said the male entered a hardware store on Nyah Road on September 4.

The man was arrested a short time later on McCallum Steet.

The property was recovered.

He was bailed to appear at Swan Hill Magistrates' Court.

A day earlier, a man and woman entered a hardware store on Beveridge Street.

"The male has selected a gas canister and wireless door bell and placed them in his jumper pocket," a spokesperson said.

"They have exited store without paying. Offenders have been identified and police will be interviewing them shortly."

Meanwhile, police are investigating two other separate shop thefts on September 1 and 2.

A male offender entered a store in Campbell Street and proceeded to the clothing area where he selected five pairs of socks.

He exited the store without payment.

He was challenged by the store owner and police were called.

The offender was arrested and bailed to Swan Hill Magistrates' Court.

On September 2, a male person entered a store and removed items from shelves and placed it in his jacket pocket.

He left the store without paying.

Police were notified and the offender was apprehended in the car park of the store.

The stolen property was retrieved.

He was also bailed to court.

Fuel syphoned out of a backhoe

POLICE are seeking assistance from the public after an amount of diesel was syphoned out of a backhoe in the region.

The alleged incident happened on August 29 at Goschen Road.

Trio smash way into school

A TRIO has allegedly gained unlawful entry into Robinvale College last week.

Police said the three offenders allegedly broke a window and removed an electronic keyboard on September 4.

Police are seeking assistance in identifying these intruders.

Not a happy time

IT wasn't all happy valley for a man who was found in possession of amphetamine while driving in Robinvale last month.

The male driver was intercepted on Happy Valley Road on August 25.

He has received a drug diversion as a result.

Meanwhile, a man has been remanded in custody after police found a small plastic bag containing the drug ice after he was intercepted driving in Robinvale on August 31.

Police intercepted the vehicle in Leonora Street.

Sheep missing

MORE than 70 sheep have allegedly been stolen from a farm in Berriwillock.

Police said on September 5, a mob of suckling sheep were rounded up for checking, but 70 were unaccounted for, on a farm at Berriwillock-Woomelang Road.

"After investigation by owner and police, it was realised that these sheep have been stolen," a spokesperson said.

The sheep were fitted with ear tags.
