My handmade mask was made by my friend Lynne Power from Lalbert. I am a school principal at Newstead Primary School and she so kindly made me a mask with little COVID bugs but also donated seven masks to my staff.

RESIDENTS across Swan Hill and surrounds have dusted off their sewing machines to put themselves on the frontline. The region is now adorned with colourful and creative face mask designs. Along with your keys, wallet and phone, the face mask is the new accessory to grab when leaving home. Some are using the mandatory wearing of a face covering as way to express their personalities whilst attempting at making them somewhat fashionable. Face masks and coverings became mandatory in regional Victoria a fortnight ago following a spike in cases across Victoria. Anyone caught not wearing a mask in public can face a fine of $200.
