SPEEDING + DRINKING = WALKING

AN Ultima man will be walking from now on after his licence was immediately suspended over numerous alleged driving offences.

Police said the 49-year-old was detected travelling at 114km/h in a 100km/h zone on Chillingollah Road in Pira at approximately 7pm on March 11.

Offers tested the driver for alcohol, with an alleged returned reading of 0.115.

The driver's licence was immediately suspended and he will be charged with speeding and drink driving offences.

COUNTERFEIT CASH

POLICE are warning of counterfeit cash doing the rounds locally.

Police said Swan Hill businesses had recognised counterfeit $50 notes being tendered in recent days, and urged the public to be aware and keep an eye out for them.

VEHICLE STOLEN

POLICE are investigating after a vehicle was allegedly stolen from a Beveridge Street residence in Swan Hill.

It is believed the vehicle was taken between 10pm on March 1 and 4.15 am the following morning.

TRAFFICKING

A 36-YEAR-OLD Swan Hill woman has been charged and bailed in relation to the relation possession and trafficking of a drug of dependence.

THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE

OFFENDERS have allegedly stolen cash from a vehicle parked on Everingham Street, Swan Hill.

The offence is alleged to have occurred between 1pm on March 1 and 7am the following day.

COURT DATE

A 40-YEAR-OLD Swan Hill man will face court after he was arrested in relation to the alleged possession of methylamphetamine.

He will face court at a later date.

CASH, CARDS STOLEN

OFFENDERS have targeted two unlocked vehicles, allegedly stealing cash and bank cards.

Police said the incident occured between 6.30pm on March 3 and 8.30am the following day, with offenders targeting vehicles parked on Splatt Street in Swan Hill.

SHOP THEFT

LOCAL stores continue to be targeted by offenders, with two businesses allegedly falling victim to shop theft between Sunday and Thursday last week.

In the first incident, a man is alleged to have left the Supercheap Auto store in Swan Hill with various items, without making an attempt to pay for them.

The second offence is alleged to have occurred at approximately 5.15pm on March 5 at Coles with a man alleged to have left with various grocery items without paying for them.

BURGLARY

BURGLARS have allegedly targeted O'Halloran's Funeral Services on Curlewis Street. Police said the incident occurred at approximately 8.22pm on March 4.

DAMAGE

UNKNOWN offenders have allegedly damaged a window at a Murlong Street residence in Swan Hill. Police said the incident occurred between 5.30am and 5.47am on March 1.

BIKE STOLEN

A BICYCLE has allegedly been stolen from a a McCrae Street home in Swan Hill. It is alleged the bicycle was taken between 10.30pm on March 3 and 12am the following day.

WEAPON

A 38-YEAR-OLD man will front court after he was allegedly found to be in possession of an offensive weapon on court premises.
