RURAL voices have made rural children matter to the state government, securing $700,000 in funding for a new early learning centre in Wycheproof this week.

The Wycheproof Preschool is set to be replaced after more than 50 years of use, with the current facility retired in favour of a co-located centre at the local P-12 college.
