THE MOULAMEIN community has celebrated the 40th anniversary of its community newsletter, Wongi.

Sue Hennessey, who has been with the newsletter since its inception in 1980, when she was a teacher's aide at the Moulamein Public School, said the idea originated from the school's English teacher Lyn Kerr.
