HIGHER than expected rainfall this year has prompted Lower Murray Water (LMW) to ease water restrictions.

From last Saturday, stage one water restrictions were removed and replaced by Permanent Water Saving Rules.

LMW managing director Anthony Couroupis said that due to higher than anticipated inflows into storages, there was now a more positive outlook for the 2020/21 season.
