JAMES Leslie Thompson, who has been instrumental in serving the community of Swan Hill, formally received his Order of Australia Medal (OAM) last Friday.
Held at Government House in Melbourne, Mr Thompson was presented with the highest recognition for outstanding achievement and service by the Governor of Victoria Linda Dessau.
"It was fantastic," Mr Thompson told The Guardian.
