Sour taste in response to border closure for citrus growers

CITRUS Australia has launched a scathing attack on the Victorian Government and its Agriculture Minister for ignoring the industry during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a submission to the parliamentary Inquiry into the Victorian Government's Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Citrus Australia said Agriculture Victoria had not sufficiently supported the horticulture industry and did not adequately recognise the importance of the industry as a food source to Victoria.
