Smiles as visitors permitted to aged care home

VISITATIONS are now permitted at Respect Aged Care’s facility at Tower Hill as case numbers plummet across Victoria.

Starting Wednesday last week, visits were permitted for one visit per resident for two hours a day. 

“We will continue to manage visits using our online booking system,” the company said in a statement. 

“The details for visits are outlined throughout the booking process and all visitors will be required to wear a mask during the visit.

“We do not currently have any cases of coronavirus at any home, and will continue to closely monitor the situation and make changes to visitation as necessary.”

It comes as Member for Northern Victoria Tania Maxwell conveyed her sentiments of concern and empathy in parliament last week to residents and workers in aged care homes during the coronavirus restrictions.
