STATE government funding to support early childhood teachers at the beginning of their careers has been welcomed by a Sea Lake childcare worker.

Last week, Member for Northern Victoria Mark Gepp announced the $9.2 million new workforce package.

The funding is part of the state government's $5 billion decade-long reform to deliver a full 15 hours of three-year-old kinder.
