THE Murray River Group of Councils is calling on Federal Minister for Water Resources David Littleproud and the Murray-Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) to hear the messages coming from the independent review into socioeconomic conditions in the basin.

Mr Littleproud has commissioned more independent work to better understand conditions in irrigation communities, a move welcomed by the group.
