WHILE living in Canberra, Jade Bartley found herself being knocked back time and time again from rentals because of her pet rottweiler.

Now living in Swan Hill for six months, she's had no issues with renting a home.

Ms Bartley welcomed new legislation, under the Residential Tenancies Act, disallowing landlords from "unreasonably" refusing consent for a tenant to keep a pet on the premises.
