AS we head into the long weekend with more reasons to be out of home, police are on a mission to reduce road trauma.

Victoria Police is conducting Operation Regal foccusing on the fatal five of road trauma: speed, fatigue, impaired driving, distraction, and seatbelt compliance.

The operation runs from 12.01am today until 11.59pm on Monday.
