Radio standards a ‘silly’ issue

DIFFERENCES in firefighter radio standards on the Victorian/NSW border is a "silly" issue, according to Liberal Democrats Member for Northern Victoria Tim Quilty.

Mr Quilty said fires along the Victorian and NSW border are tackled by the Victorian CFA and NSW RFS, but the two fire services are unable to talk to each other via radio due to differences in standards.
