A NUMBER of projects in the western region of Murray River Council (MRC) will get off the ground after receiving grants from council.

Murray Downs Advancement Group Inc, Moulamein Country Women's Association (CWA) and The Bridgekeepers Cottage Op Shop were selected in MRC's inaugural community grants program.

Twenty-nine applicants will share in $30,000 of funding for projects totalling $76,600.
