THERE were huffs and puffs of excitement after Swan Hill council received $80,000 to construct a permanent dog park at Tower Hill.

On International Dogs Day, the state government announced Swan Hill was one of 17 new dog parks across the state.

The off-leash park will be constructed at Barry Steggal Park.
