Joined by her father and fellow paramedic, Brett Halligan, Ms Halligan marked the successful completion of her graduate year with the ambulance service at Marvel Stadium on September 15.

Now a fully qualified advanced life support intensive care paramedic, the 24-year-old told The Guardian it was stories brought home by her father, a former Alexandra ambulance volunteer turned Ambulance Victoria paramedic, which inspired her to consider paramedicine as a career path.
