A SOUTH Australian man travelling through Balranald has been caught in possession of several kilograms of cannabis.

On Saturday, at about 11.50pm, police attached to Barrier Police District stopped a Holden Astra in Market Street.

A New South Wales Police Force statement said the driver participated in a roadside drug test before police searched the vehicle on suspicion of drugs being present.
