THE Monash University School of Rural Health in Swan Hill was officially opened yesterday as a "game changer" for the future of the region's medical workforce.

The new facility, located on High Street, is the result of an on-going partnership between Swan Hill District Health (SHDH) and Monash University, with the long-term goal of alleviating the shortage of doctors in rural Australia and locally.
