SWAN Hill District Health will be providing outreach clinics in some surrounding towns from today to screen symptomatic people for COVID-19 infection.
This service will be provided between May 20 and June 11, with clinics to run in Piangil and Nyah on Wednesdays and in Woorinen South and Lake Boga on Thursdays.
Only people with symptoms of COVID-19 will be tested and these include fever, chills or sweats, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose and loss of sense of smell.
Tests are free and a Medicare card is not required, however identification must be presented.
Information will remain private and a doctor will make contact with test results.
Clinic times and location:
Piangil Community Centre: Wednesdays, 9.30-11.30am
Nyah Memorial Hall: Wednesdays, 1.30pm-3.30pm
Woorinen South Community Centre: Thursdays, 9.30am-11.30am
Lake Boga Community Centre: Thursdays, 1.30pm-3.30pm
Swan Hill District Health Acute Respiratory Assessment Clinic is currently open Monday to Friday 9am-4pm.
