MEMBER for Northern Victoria Wendy Lovell has defended a decision not to support a motion to have Victoria withdraw from the Murray-Darling Basin Plan (MDBP).
Ms Lovell said had the motion passed it would have left Victoria "exposed" and "without a seat at the table".
The Liberal MP told The Guardian she moved a motion on behalf of the Coalition to amend the original motion, brought by Member for Northern Victoria Tim Quilty.
