AN RAAF C-27J Spartan aircraft landed at the Swan Hill aerodrome last Friday to collect local firefighters assisting with the bushfires across the country.

David Coates captured the moment a line of people walked onto the aircraft.

He said another aircraft flew into the airport earlier in the day, which picked up another 12 to 13 people.
