THE books are on the move across Murray River Council (MRC), with a new mobile library service to cater to more remote areas in the region.

Council was awarded $200,000 through the 2019/20 Public Library Infrastructure Grants program to establish the initiative.

MRC has committed a further $234,000 in their 2020/21 capital expenditure budget for the $500,000 project.
