LYN Flanagan has made history becoming Balranald Ex-Services Club's first female president since the club's inception in the 1950s.

Ms Flanagan has been a member of the club for 52 years.

She joined the board of directors in 2015, moving from her role as vice-president, which she held for the past two years.

Ian Bridgewood replaces Ms Flanagan as the newly elected vice-president.
