THE Mallee Machinery Field Days at Speed has been the latest agricultural event to lock its gates in 2020.

The annual two-day event was scheduled for August 5 and 6.

Secretary Andrew McLean told The Guardian the committee was disappointed to have to cancel the event in the face of coronavirus.

The iconic field days is a fundraiser for the Speed Lions Club and has been held since 1979.
