Fuel excise cut a relief for transport industry

THE transport industry across the north-west is breathing a sigh of relief after the Federal Government slashed its fuel excise by 50 per cent in Tuesday night's budget.

From Wednesday, the 44.2 cents per litre fuel tax dropped to 22.1 cents, with the savings expected to flow to bowsers in the next two weeks.
