‘Fix the basin plan’, says farmers at rally

Close to 3000 irrigators, business owners and supporters rallied to protest the failure of the MDBP in the southern Riverina town of Tocumwal, calling on the federal government to "immediately pause, review and revise the plan".

Rally organiser Jan Beer said the plan was "failing on all counts, including environmental" directing particular anger at Minister for Water Resources David Littleproud, before an effigy of the minister was thrown into the Murray River.
