REPORTED incidents of family violence in the Swan Hill region during stage three lockdowns have decreased from the same four-month period last year.

Swan Hill police family violence investigation unit Detective Sergeant Mal Simpson said this could be attributed to the lack of over-consumption of alcohol due to COVID-19 restrictions and the closure of pubs and nightclubs.
