MEMBER for Murray Helen Dalton has told her fellow MPs there is no reason to oppose a bill to increase transparency around water ownership, unless they are profiting from the "secrecy" of the current system.

The NSW Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party MP introduced a bill in parliament last Thursday morning to reveal the "secret water barons", but the debate was adjourned after its introduction.
