Costly burden is lifted for families

THE financial burden on cystic fibrosis sufferers has been lifted with medications costing up to $250,000 per year added to the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS).

The PBS schedule lists government-subsidised medications available to all residents with Medicare cards.
