THE bids flew at the Swan Hill saleyards fortnightly prime cattle sale last week with an "excellent yarding" of just over 1000 head.

BR&C stock agent Matt Rowlands described the sale as "very, very strong" with prices topping at 427.6 cents/kilogram for well-bred, light weight calves.
