SHOPPERS emptied supermarket shelves in Swan Hill this week as panic over the spread of the coronavirus began to be felt locally.

Shelves in Swan Hill stores including Coles, Woolworths and Aldi were stripped of hand sanitiser and toilet paper this week, a panic buying trend seen across the state.
