Boost for regional health

A NEW initiative designed to boost rural doctor, nurse and midwife numbers won't effect Swan Hill District Health, but local health services are acting proactively to boost the regional workforce.

Last week, the state government announced it would invest $2.4 million in an effort to boost Victoria's rural and regional hospital workforce and keep young, early-career doctors, nurses and midwives in country areas.
