A NYAH West grandfather has escaped jail time over an aggravated burglary and assault with a baseball bat.

On Thursday, before the Koori County Court, the man was sentenced to a two-year corrections order and must complete 150 hours of unpaid community work.

All hours can be attributed to treatment and rehabilitation.
