Backpackers decide to leave Australia amid global pandemic

MADEC Harvest Services manager Gavin Krake says the national Harvest Trail Information Service had experienced a drop in the number of people looking for work, including Australians and backpackers.

Mr Krake said since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in Australia in March, large numbers of backpackers had decided to leave Australia.
