Bulldogs hit top four spot

TYNTYNDER put on a strong showing at home against Koondrook Barham on Saturday.

Coming in off of a bye in Round 9, the team were keen to get another win under their belt to attain a spot in the top four.

Starting off strong, they showed the week off had done nothing to slow them down, proving to be too much for the Raiders, who have now slipped to last spot on the ladder behind Cohuna.

Going in just one win off from Kerang, the 30 point win - with a final score of 52 to 32 - has propelled them into fourth spot and provided them a healthy percentage over the Blues.

Kate Morrison, Tess Denham and Zoe Spence-Benfield were handy in the goals for Tyntynder, scoring 23, 11 and 18 respectively.

At the other end for Koondrook Barham, Sammy Knight and Rachel Robertson put up a good fight working hard in the goals, with Robertson's efforts earning her the best on court title for the Round 10 match.

Kristy Kelly in defence at the goal circle was named best for the Bulldogs.

Koondrook Barham will now have a week off to regroup, while Tyntynder will go into a tough fight against Tooleybuc Manangatang at home.

The Saints will be keen to hold on to their top three ladder position, with a win seeing them extend their lead over the Bulldogs, while a loss could see a shift in the ladder leaders.
