POLICE are not treating the discovery of remains at a Swan Hill property as suspicious.

A Victoria Police spokesperson said police received reports of the discovery of what was believed to be a human bone at a Chapman Street property about 12.45pm on Monday.

The matter has now been referred to the coroner.

"The bone will now undergo analysis," the spokesperson said.
