McDonalds hit by global technology outage

SWAN Hill's McDonald's restaurant was caught up in a global technology outage on Friday night, leaving the establishments out of action for eight hours.

The outage, which prevented McDonalds' servers from processing payments and affected the MyMacca's app, was caused by a third-party technology provider, and was not a cybersecurity issue.
