A GOVERNMENT banking taskforce this week considered local ideas to "fill the gaps" left behind by regional bank closures.

The Federal Government's Regional Banking Taskforce met in Mildura on Wednesday to discuss ideas put forward by the community at last week's Red Cliff banking forum.
