SEVEN-year-old Sasha Hayes is particularly proud of her giant pumpkin which she recently harvested from her backyard veggie patch.
The official weigh-in registered 18.3kg.
Sasha's mum, Belinda Blaess, said she had always loved gardening and encouraged her to continue.
"She worked really hard to look after it and had to move it at one point when it got too big and close to the edge of the garden," she said.
"She cared for it everyday and finally took it out of the ground last week.
"She has to wait another week for it to be ready for eating and then she plans to make pumpkin soup with it."
Sasha is always experimenting in her garden, trying new produce all the time.
