Clean Up Australia Day around the country

This morning a group of people in towns across the country sacrificed their Sunday sleep in to get dirty for Clean Up Australia Day.

Community groups, family and environmentally minded people gathered together to clean the parks and public places throughout the town.

Whilst the results were beautiful, the mission was a tough one, with loads to clean up in the riverways and parkways around the country.

In Tamworth celebrity gardener Costa Georgiadis came to help and inspire community groups during their clean up.

The heat and humidity didn’t deter people from doing their bit in Maitland

Orange hauled in big numbers with 52 people registering for Elephant Park alone.

Bendigo volunteers spread out across several locations around the region.

Port Macquarie residents were keeping their beaches clean.
